Creative Content Writer

The main function of the Creative Content Writer is to create product and persuasive, informational copy for printed materials and the web. Work involves brainstorming, as well as company and industry research, to understand products, lines and marketing directives. The Creative Content Writer varies language and tone of copy based on various factors, including products, lines, medium, marketing themes and methods, and product management goals. Industry standards are also taken into account to ensure that sales messages are readily received by the customer base, and in their terms.

Other responsibilities include proof reading copy to find and correct production errors in print related, but not limited to grammar, punctuation or spelling. Writing articles, bulletins, letters and other related, informative marketing and promotional material is required, as necessary, as are copy edits and rewrites on existing copy.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Create, edit and proof read product copy
  • Review product and informational copy for errors and/or improvement for both web and print
  • Work along with Product Managers, Web Team, Marketing and R&D for information and direction
  • Research and write white papers on subjects such as products, regulations and services
  • Create social media posts on products, regulations and services
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of Accuform products, regulations and services
  • Research as needed and maintain working knowledge of regulations that affect our products and industry
  • Maintain a knowledge of, and research as necessary, the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar
  • Maintain knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services, including marketing strategies and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Prior writing experience, preferably in the business-to-business industrial (or related) catalog market – writing samples are required!
  • Related computer experience – PC, internet search use
  • Frontier ERP System experience a plus
  • Spanish or French a plus
  • Bachelor Degree in a related field
