FOD Signs

Any object that does not belong in or near a designated area is considered foreign object debris (FOD). FOD is particularly harmful to the aeronautics field and can potentially cause serious damage to manufactured equipment, in fact, each year the resulting damage is estimated to cost the aerospace industry $4 billion a year. Damages can easily be caused by loose hardware, pieces of luggage, building material, catering supplies, and rocks.

To eliminate dangers and educate employees about potential hazards, FOD Signs are a key component. FOD Signs are most effective when they're individually categorized into four main groups: Awareness Area, Control Area, Critical Area, and FOD Free Zone.
