IMO Signs

Mark escape routes, life saving devices, and emergency fire equipment on ships, ferries, tankers, cruisers, offshore oil rigs, as well as harbors and ports – and identify and see these markings, even when primary and emergency lights fail. International Maritime Organization (IMO) Safety Signs contain symbols for immediate recognition of instructions, directions, and identification to the crew, workforce, contractors, visitors, and public in an on-board emergency situation. Signs are visible in light and dark with green-yellow glow surface. The glow, photoluminescent signs are suitable for both indoor and outdoor usage. Sign material meets and exceeds the standards DIN 67510, IMO A.752 (18), ISO 15370, DIN 67510-1, plus related DIN standards for flammability, weathering, radiation, salt spray, and chemical liquids. Dura Lumi-Glow is available as flexible Self-Adhesive sign and Plastic sign - bonded to impact-resistant .060 polycarbonate. Both have the surface sealed with a UV-poly clear overlaminate film to protect the image against fade, dust, dirt, and splash. Choose signs to match the symbols on the life saving and fire control plan. Life Saving and Rescue Signs Clearly identify the location of life saving and rescue equipment. Safety of Life At Sea (SOLAS) Chapter lll, Regulation 20.10 requires signs on board a vessel in accordance to IMO Resolution A.760(18) - “Symbols Related To Life-Saving Appliances And Arrangements”. Fire Control Equipment Signs Fire control equipment onboard ships are to be clearly identified. SOLAS Chapter ll-2, Regulation 15.2.4 requires all fire equipment be marked in accordance to IMO Resolution A.654(16), revised as IMO Resolution A.952(23) – “Graphical Symbols For Shipboard Fire Control Plans”.
