Our in-house, deli-style cafeteria provides daily fresh food options for an overall quality dining experience. If you are a people person with good organizational, planning and communication skills, and have experience or interest in food service, you are encouraged to apply!

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Greet guests and employees who utilize café facilities
  • Fill orders accurately and in a timely manner
  • Take regular inventory of stockroom and dining areas, coordinating with supervisor as needed to maintain supply stores
  • Receive food and supply deliveries, keeping stock organized and accounting for any returns, credits, etc.
  • Post weekly menus, displaying up-to-date pricing information for guests
  • Label all perishable food items with name and date
  • Use proper and safe food-handling, storage, and disposal methods
  • Sanitize food prep areas and utensils continuously throughout shift, including counters, kitchen utensils, containers, sink, refrigerators, and any other items used
  • Supervise payroll deduction system to help ensure purchases are entered properly
  • Inspect dining areas daily, including tables, chairs, floors, and receptacles, to ensure cleanliness and safety
  • Discard food waste as needed on a daily basis
  • Inspect condition of food service and storage equipment, reporting or ordering repair when service is needed
  • Cater monthly employee anniversary luncheons and any other special functions, as needed
  • Clean employee-use refrigerators weekly
  • Turn equipment off prior to end-of-shift
  • Perform other duties as required

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Good customer service skills
  • Knowledge in the proper use of basic kitchen tools and appliances
  • Knowledge and ability to perform basic math and measuring calculations
  • Ability to perform multiple duties at once
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge in basic computer and phone proficiency
  • Good planning and scheduling skills
  • 1 year related experience or training
  • High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Food safety training certification
