Product Specialist
The Product Specialist is a detail-oriented individual who is responsible for developing and maintaining current product information within our database. This position will work closely with vendor associates, the Product Specialist Team and Project Managers to become an expert in their assigned product category and to ensure that all product information is documented accurately. Work requires a professional attitude to develop and maintain relationships, and involves working with others to ensure product presentation maintains uniformity; adheres to established consistency guidelines; maintains accurate product information, including copy and images; and uses Photoshop to maintain an image library of all related images for use in catalogs and other marketing materials.
- Must be able to take direction and work well with others
- Ensure all copy meets set consistency standards within assigned categories
- Work closely with vendor associates to ensure accurate product presentation for use in catalog and websites
- Maintains database master files
- Double-checks all work before proceeding on to next step
- Communicates easily with Data Director on any missing approvals or other issues that arise during the proofing process
- Maintain accurate and detailed files of vendor proofs for each project
- Comes to work on time, and communicates schedule changes and time-off requests ahead of time with Data Director
- Proficiency in the English language and written grammar skills
- Proofreading and copywriting skills
- Working knowledge of: Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop

The Product Specialist reports to the Data Director on project status and assigned objectives; is tasked with developing a consistency plan within their product categories, based on overall team protocols; and performs other duties as assigned or required.
