Lane Control Signs

Lane Control Signs are used to permit or prohibit the use of specific lanes of a street or highway. According to the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) Lane Control Signs are most commonly used for reversible-lane control, but are also used in nonreversible freeway lane applications. Use Lane Control Signs to communicate instructions of lane use and keep drivers safe from serious accidents on roads and highways.

When mounting the Lane Control Signs, follow the requirements as stated in Chapter 4J.03 Design of Lane-Use Control Signals. With Lane Control Signs, you can inform drivers to keep right, merge left, no passing, lane turns left or more. Ensure Lane Control Signs are posted to keep traffic moving in the correct direction.
