Capturing the undivided attention of your employees is difficult. Fewer than one in three employees (32 percent) were engaged in their jobs in 2015, according to a Gallup survey. More than half (50.8 percent) were not engaged, and 17.2 percent were actively disengaged. In 2014, Gallup reported that employees in manufacturing or production jobs recorded the lowest levels of engagement - averaging only 23 percent. Employees in transportation (25.5 percent) and service (28.2 percent) roles also had engagement levels well below the national average.
