Shipping Clerk

Accuform is seeking a Shipping Clerk for our nighttime production shift. This is a full-time position. Regular duties include packaging product and reconciling paperwork to product. Work involves: examining shipment contents; comparing to order manifest; performing quality inspection of goods before shipment; choice of appropriate packaging materials; regular and consistent computer usage to access orders for scanning and processing, and also to access various software and shipping systems for UPS, FedEx, Purolator, LTL and other carrier shipments; and use of department equipment and machinery, including hand tools and automatic machinery. Minimum Qualifications: Basic math skills Basic computer skills Good communication skills, both verbal and written Ability to work in a team environment Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Preferred Qualifications: Familiar with UPS/FedEx/LTL terminology and shipping systems Previous shipping experience or LTL preparation Ability to multi-task in a high-energy team environment Familiarity with AS400 Additional Information: Job functions may include special assignments as directed by department supervisor or plant manager Will work on production floor Will be required to comply with all safety and environmental rules, regulations and guidelines, including PPE requirements Could be exposed to dust, noise, or hazardous materials Will be required to use ladder for normal job functions
