Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Read and follow assigned work orders to finish product according to customer specifications Operation of finishing tools and machines to include, but not limited to the following, Shear, Grommet machines, Cutters, Mounters, Corner and Hole Punches, Crane, Routers, Scoring, Hot Bending, AUGIE, clam shell die cutter, rotary die cutter, sheeter, ARTIE, and WALT Scan orders for processing using AS400 computer software Perform inspection of all received product looking for defects, quantity discrepancies, incorrect product, or any other quality and/or color issues Communicate with other department coordinators and expeditors to attend to any priority lines, as needed Communicate with CSR’s as needed for specialty details, questions or any other order issues Assist other areas in the finishing department, as time allows Inspect product received looking for defects, quantity discrepancies, incorrect product, or any quality and/or color issues Perform other duties as required or assigned Report all unsafe activities to Plant Manager, Safety Director or Human Resources Be punctual and dependable; accountable for assigned work shift Comply with all safety and environmental rules, regulations and guidelines, including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements Take direction from and communicate with others regardless of age, gender, race or religion Participate in cross-training within and outside of home department, as required; includes training to learn various machines/equipment, as well as providing training through sharing of knowledge and skill Perform general housekeeping duties to keep works areas clean and free of debris; also to include basic recycling of plant materials Dispose of hazardous and all other waste materials in accordance with regulatory procedures and policy Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals

Desired Skills and Abilities: Command of the English language, both written and verbal Ability to measure accurately Good math skills Good reading, spelling and comprehension skills Demonstrate a good understanding of basic math functions Able to use and navigate a computer Demonstrate a high attention to detail Ability to take direction and work well with others 3-6 months related experience and/or training required 1-3 years’ related experience preferred High school diploma; or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience
