Account Manager

Accuform Signs is seeking a customer care professional to provide world-class customer service via telephone, email and fax. Our Account Management team is responsible for processing incoming orders, answering customer inquiries and quote requests, and maintaining our customer database. The customer service team works closely with our outside Regional Sales Managers to maintain relationships, follow leads and service accounts, and maintains a steady communication with other departments in the company, such as art, purchasing, production and accounting to assist customers in meeting their needs. Account Managers participate in proactive team efforts to achieve company goals!

Job functions may include special assignments as directed by the department supervisor or manager. It is crucial for an Account Manager to be able to prioritize and handle incoming requests in a fast-paced business environment, while interacting with internal and external customers in a professional and positive manner on a consistent basis.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain business relationships by providing world-class customer service
  • Receive and process incoming orders, quote requests and all other customer service inquiries via phone, fax, email, Web and EDI
  • Answer all customer inquiries and requests, and maintain customer databases, in a timely manner
  • Prepare customer credits, return authorizations and order corrections for processing
  • Increase sales by following up on leads in a timely manner and keeping an open line of communication
  • Act as a general liaison between the customer and the company, communicating all critical information, along with providing vital input and feedback to various departments within the company
  • Maintain good working knowledge of company operations and communication with production and other inside personnel to meet the needs of the customer
  • Navigate internal database and systems to find information pertaining to orders, parts, shipments, quotes, artwork, and all other pertinent information
  • Independently determine methods, work sequence, scheduling and how to achieve objectives and goals
  • Work in a team environment and communicate with coworkers in an effective and respectful manner, taking direction well and offering productive feedback
  • Participate in team-building exercises and share in facilitating team meetings and exercises, as scheduled
  • Help provide and maintain a safe work environment
  • Keep work area clean and organized
  • Other special assignments as directed by department supervisors or sales managers
  • Desired Skills and Experience:

    • Minimum of 1-3 years' customer service/sales experience
    • Strong computer, telephone, internet and communication skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Must have good command of the English language, both oral and written
    • A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred, but not required
