See ‘blue’ to indicate warning for the potential of icy conditions – only when it’s freezing!
Indicator sign is designed to reduce the risk involved with costly slip, fall, and driving accidents related to icy conditions on your property. Alert pedestrians and motorists of dropping temperatures and be aware that ice may be present or forming.
Dial sign changes from reflective silver to reflective blue only when the potential for ice conditions exists. Eliminate the need to find a thermometer to see the actual temperature. Under 36°F, the dial turns and blue starts to become visible by 33°F. By freezing, 32°F and below, the bright blue is fully shown. Activated by cold temperature, the visible blue indicates the potential for developing ice – especially if the surfaces are wet.
When the temperature rises, the blue dial moves back to silver.
Rugged design, the dial is encased in clear-faced, plastic case with mounting holes for wall mount or post mount with tamper-proof fasteners (included). Self-contained units do not require batteries or electronics.
**Install near entry/exit points – along sidewalks, walkways, ramps, steps, stairways, and doorways. Set out in the parking areas, in series along driveways and roadways on posts. The temperature-activated indicator provides an immediate warning, helping to reduce the time in looking for and setting out proper signage and cones identifying the potential for slippery hazard ice conditions, and signals to maintenance workers when to apply de-ice or other non-slip compounds.
