MARSEC Signs Comply with U.S. Coast Guard, Department of Homeland Security regulations Title 33 – Navigation and Navigable Waters. Maritime Security (MARSEC) identification signs are designed in bold for quick viewing from a distance. The three level codes designate which security measures are in effect. When Homeland Security issues a National Terrorism Advisory System (NTAS) Alert, the U.S. Coast Guard adjusts the MARSEC level as appropriate to the threat. Post MARSEC signs at the entrance of a port facility, dock approach, or boarding area of a vessel. Each 12" x 18" sign signifies one of the three security code levels. Available in three durable materials for outdoor use.
