Steel Exit SignA Dependable Way To Identify Egress Routes
Lighted exit signs are required, dependable markings installed in hallways, stairways, corridors, and doorways for egress of building occupants. Illuminated ‘EXIT’ with knock-out left and right directional chevrons or arrows point the proper way out. Letter sizes are 6" high by 3/4" stroke wide to meet OSHA requirements.
Light-emitting diode (LED) signs illuminate with tiny ‘bulb strips’ to provide uniform brightness. They are long life rated at 25+ years, energy efficient, and require minimal maintenance. Installation of the signs can be ceiling, end, and surface mounted with hardwire connection to a reliable electrical source. Standard signs stay illuminated at all times, unless the power goes off. Emergency signs house a rechargeable battery back-up system to keep the sign lit in the event of a power failure for up to 90 minutes. When power comes back on, the battery system begins to recharge. LED style bulbs, connected to the same circuitry, increase in brightness in the emergency mode.
