Take action on the Texas Open Carry and Concealed Weapons legislation.
Texas Penal Code §30.06 allows a residential or commercial landowner to post signage that preemptively prohibits licensed persons from entering the premises while carrying concealed. It is a Class A misdemeanor to fail to heed compliant signage.
Whereas, Texas Penal Code §30.07 covers "Trespass by license holder with an openly carried handgun" , allowing a residential or commercial landowner to post signage that preemptively prevents licensed persons from entering the premises while openly carrying a handgun.
The 30.07 sign differs from the 30.06 sign in that it must be displayed at each entrance to the property. (In both cases the sign must be "clearly visible to the public".)
